How to Add Declared Value Coverage

For high value orders, you have the option to add declared value coverage for additional financial protection.

IMPORTANT REMINDERS:

• Manifest provides automatic coverage up to $100 of the declared value for eligible shipping claims.

• For declared value over $100, Manifest does submit for additional reimbursement when we file claims, but the carriers rarely pay out beyond the $100

So, adding declared value coverage is a discretionary purchase by the brand shipping the order.

Adding declared value coverage can be set up via automation rules in ShipHero. If you're interested in adding this, please contact your account manager and specify the trigger to add the declared value protection:

IF order's value per ShipHero is greater than $x, THEN add declared value coverage.

On a related note, you are able to elect a specific shipping method via the same automation rule trigger logic: IF order's value per ShipHero is greater than $x. Let your account manager know if you want to force-select any particular shipping option for these high-value orders.
